Image Story

The tiny Southern Corroboree frog is so rare that I never believed I would ever see one in its natural habitat, let alone photograph it. I saw this one as it was emerging out of its winter hibernation in a sub alpine region of a Protected Area, the only place it exists in. Over the years, their numbers have drastically declined and emergency conservation efforts have been implemented to save this species who are among the most visually spectacular frogs in the world.
