Image Story
Seeking the thrill of the wilds, we escaped one weekend to the great outdoors of the Wadbilliga National park. Keen mountain bikers, we travelled past steep gorges carved into dramatic, ancient cliff faces and over wide, undulating plateaus. It’s a haven for animals and birds and for any humans in need of adventurous exploration, breath-taking scenery and truly unforgettable sights. At night, we gazed up at the stars in the crystal clear night and heard the call of the sooty owl resounding through the deep river gorges. Supplied by the Office of Environment & Heritage.
